New Beginnings

New Day

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” -Mahatma Gandhi

I have known this quote most of my life. I have preached this quote most of my adult life. But I have not lived this quote, not really, until now.

The Prospect of Peace began as a personal need to be content with my life and the world around me.

What started out as a year-long funk and a blind search for contentment, ended as a wake-up call and serious paradigm shift.

The Prospect of Peace is not a business, organization, or foundation (at least not yet). It is an idea- that every day, every moment can be chosen to live in peace. Maybe not happiness, as life throws us curve balls sometimes, but definitely peace. Peace towards others and peace within.

Often times it takes a serious event to help us realize how miraculous our lives really are and how wonderful the world is around us. But it’s important to remember that peace can be found in the simplest of places, if we just take the time to stop, breathe, and take it all in.

It’s never too late to have a new beginning.

I hope that you take the time today to see the beauty in yourself, others, and the world around you- and inspire others to do the same.

Life is beautiful.

Have a peaceful day, or not, the choice is yours- always.

  1. With “New Beginnings”, it is implied that we now have a ‘fresh start’ to life. In reality, we don’t have to wait for a new job, new year, or even new day… Once the moment in time has ended it will never be again, allowing us to have the chance to start over at each and every moment of our life, if we so choose to.

The following has been one of the most helpful quotes on this new endeavor to live every moment as a “New Beginning”:

    Let your thoughts be positive
For they will become your words.
    Let your words be positive
For they will become your actions.
    Let your actions be positive
For they will become your values.
    Let your values be positive
For they will become your destiny.
